How to Ship a Violin

Vita Dolce Violins gives 80-100% trade in on instruments and bows, less maintenance costs. If you are trading toward an instrument of similar value, you will receive 80% of the original purchase price of the trade-in, less usual maintenance. Items that have been damaged will be subject to devaluation. If you are trading toward an instrument of much greater value, you may receive 90 or even 100% of the original purchase price, less maintenance and devaluation. This policy applies to instruments and bows purchased from Vita Dolce Violins. The original paid-in-full sales receipt is required  to obtain these terms. Items purchased elsewhere will be considered on a case-by-case basis.      Before reselling your trade-in, we must return it to the best possible condition. Vita Dolce needs to evaluate your instrument or bow in person before giving you a final value. Bows will require rehairing. Instruments will need new strings, cleaning, and possibly other maintenance. You can improve your trade-in value by using a soft cloth to keep your instrument clean, and trying not to scratch or ding it. Cases sold as part of an outfit will need to be replaced if they are worn.
