The ends of the pegs are marked for sawing.

After marking, the string holes are drilled...

and smoothed with a file.

Then the pegs are sawn to length.

The peg ends are finished with files and sandpaper. They should not stick out past the pegbox walls.

Lubricant is applied to the finished pegs.
